29 October 2001

The end to a fabulous month for me, has been perfectly finished off by the publication of Issue 19 (December 2001) of  3D World magazine. Inside you will be able to find a tutorial on Vue d'Esprit 4 written by myself, that also accompanies the Vue 4 demo on the cover CD. Once again I must thank all the people at e-on software, and 3D World magazine for giving me this opportunity. If you are able to check it out, I do hope you find the article informative and helpful :o)

28 October 2001

At last, I have finally managed to post a Vue d'Esprit "Top Ten Tips" tutorial to the Tutorials section of the site. Hopefully you can find it helpful, with whatever version of Vue that you use.

10 October 2001

What can I say, I have been walking on air for the past month, and finally I'm able to share my joy with my friends of being asked by e-on software to use Whitetail in an advertisement. Marie Delagrange of e-on software, who kept me up to date during the whole process, has done a stunning job with the design of the advertisement. Apart from thanking Marie and e-on software, I would also like to thank all those who have inspired me in the past...you know who you are ;o)

The advertisement was published in issue 38 of the French magazine Studio Multimédia.

07 October 2001

I have just uploaded the first of the updated images that I intend to do over the course of the next few months. "Home Sweet Home 2001" in The Theme Gallery has some changes to the lighting and some of the textures that I was not happy with in the original "Home Sweet Home". I hope that you feel that the changes have made a slight improvement.

06 October 2001

I'm afraid there has not been an update to the site recently, due to me working on some other CG projects. They have been extremely exciting for me to do, and I hope that I can give more details very soon.

I have also decided to start work on a CG natural history animation, which will certainly test my 3DS Max and Cinema 4D skills over the next few months...or years. It is something that I have always wanted to do, and I now feel that the time is right.

As far as The 3D Scene is concerned, I plan to have the Downloads section running shortly. I also  plan to update a couple of Gallery Images...as I look at some of them now I realise that they could do with a lighting overhaul, to say the least.

09 August 2001

Added another XenoDream image, titled "Horn Of Ammon" to The 2D & Fractal Gallery.

02 August 2001

Added my first XenoDream image to The 2D & Fractal Gallery named "Butterfly". I'm sure that I can improve this image, once I have fully got to grips with all of XenoDream's options.

31 July 2001

I was not sure in which gallery to place my first Vue d'Esprit 4 image "Whitetail", but in the end it finished up in The Theme Gallery. I hope that you enjoy it.

28 June 2001

Another new image for The Theme Gallery today titled "Hidden Depths". A departure for me in that it depicts an underwater scene, the type of scene I've never had a great deal of confidence in doing.

02 June 2001

Updated The Theme Gallery today with an image titled "Colonial Outpost". I'm especially pleased with the way the mapped textures on the cobble stone floor turned out on this one.

15 May 2001

I have finally managed to complete and upload the Links section of the site. I'm still not happy with it though, and I can imagine that you will see some changes to the layout of it over the coming weeks.

10 May 2001

Had a nice surprise this morning, and found that  my picture "Jovian Dreams" had been picked by e-on software for their "Picture of the Day". You can find the image in The Landscape Gallery.

02 May 2001

No major updates to the site since the initial version I'm afraid. I am feverishly working on the links page at the moment, so that I can upload it as soon as possible.

22 April 2001

At last! "the 3D scene" is up and running as an extreme beta version. The site will be moving to new premises within the next couple of months (greater bandwidth and space), but the transformation should be seamless.
